Piano Lessons with Laura MilesLaura Miles is a piano teacher in South Jordan, UT dedicated to helping all of her students learn and find the joy in music-making! With a degree in music education and almost 20 years experience teaching piano, Laura specializes in teaching private lessons to students ages 7 to 18.

Piano Safari Method

Laura teaches most of her beginning students using the Piano Safari method books. The method "progresses deliberately in terms of reading yet quickly in terms of playing. This builds foundational skills while developing a strong ear and technique in the student." Piano Safari books are engaging for students because of the use of rote teaching. As students work to develop music reading skills, they are still able to play exciting music that is learned by ear and through the use of musical patterns and technique skills.
